House of Commons Health and Social Care Select Committee
In 2014, UKAP submitted a document to the House of Commons Health and Social Care Select Committee raising our concern about the lack of early detection of ADHD in children and young people and the poor transition of heath care experienced by many individuals when transitioning from child to adult services. UKAP made the following recommendations:
- Early detection within schools by screening at the point of a second fixed-term exclusion.
- Greater insistence on realistic transitional arrangements from child to adult healthcare.
